About Ciwifyi

Teaching people to handle money with confidence

Ciwifyi started in 2016 with a straightforward idea: personal finance education should be practical, accessible, and honest — not reserved for those who already have a financial background or live in a particular country.

Our story

A platform built on honest education

Ciwifyi grew out of a frustration that many people share: financial content online is either too shallow to be useful or too dense to be approachable. The instructors who founded this platform wanted to change that by building structured masterclasses around real decisions people face — budgeting under pressure, understanding debt, building an emergency fund, reading a payslip properly.

Our courses are designed for people who want to understand what is actually happening with their money, not just receive a list of tips. Each programme is built around worked examples, specific scenarios, and the kind of context that turns information into something you can actually use.

Being based in Ireland and operating across dozens of countries means we think carefully about what financial concepts travel well across borders and which ones need local framing. Our instructors come from different professional backgrounds — accounting, financial planning, consumer advocacy — and that range shows in the material.

Structured around real decisions

Every module starts from a concrete financial situation — not an abstract concept. You work through the thinking, not just the conclusion.

Taught by working professionals

Instructors are practitioners, not generalists. They bring current knowledge from fields like tax planning, household budgeting, and financial coaching.

Accessible regardless of location

All programmes are delivered online and structured to work across different financial systems, so participants in different countries find the material relevant.

Community-supported learning

Participants join a group of people working through similar financial challenges. Questions get answered, progress gets shared, and learning sticks better.

What shapes how we work
1
Specificity over generality Vague advice doesn't help anyone. We build content around concrete numbers, named tools, and specific situations.
2
Honest about difficulty Changing financial habits is hard and takes time. We don't pretend otherwise, and we design programmes to support that reality.
3
Geography-independent content Principles like cash flow management, debt prioritisation, and saving ratios apply across borders — that's where we focus.
